Augustana Counseling Services

Augustana Counseling Services works to meet every student's emotional health and well-being. Augustana University works closely with Sioux Falls Psychological Services, which provides students with a comprehensive and multidisciplinary group of mental health professionals at no cost.

Counseling Services are located at Sioux Falls Psychological Services on Summit Avenue, across the street from the Mikkelsen Library.

Campus Clinic

Augustana's health services program offers students walk-in access to a registered nurse during weekdays when classes are in session. Students who require physician services are seen by appointment on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at the Campus Clinic.

The Campus Clinic is located in the lower level of Solberg Hall near the southeast entrance.

Campus Ministry

The campus pastors coordinate worship and student leadership and are available for counsel, encouragement, and support. Augustana has access to two campus pastors that are available as resources to students. They are located in the Chapel of Reconciliation.

Formerly known as the Rape and Domestic Abuse Center, this agency serves as a resource and advocate for survivors of sexual assault. They offer free, confidential counseling at their off-campus location. An advocate from this agency will also be available to accompany the victim/survivor to the hospital, to the police department, and/or to a court hearing.

If sexual misconduct occurred within the last 72 hours, a physical evidence examination is important for collecting forensic evidence for use in a possible criminal investigation. It is advised that he or she give consideration to being accompanied from either The Compass Center or the University so that he or she can have support and access to information to make the best choices possible.
