As of noon today, the South Dakota Department of Health (SD-DOH) has confirmed 6,419 positive cases of COVID-19, including the 61 cases that are new today, and 84 deaths. There are 781 active cases in the state, including 81 current hospitalizations. A total of 5,554 people have recovered from the virus in the state.
As of Tuesday, June 23, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has reported 2,302,288 positive cases of the novel coronavirus and 120,333 deaths. Forty states have reported more than 10,000 cases, which does not include South Dakota.
