    Commencement events honoring the Class of 2013 will be held May 23-25 on campus. Learn more about the President's Social, Senior Celebration, the Reception for Civitas Graduates, the Nurse Pinning Ceremony, Baccalaureate and the Commencement Ceremony.

  • Summer Scholar Camp at Augustana

    Over afternoon sessions starting June 4, high school students of all ages will learn by focusing on relevant and compelling topics, rigorous content and test/college preparation. Space is limited; register today.

  • June 28: Summer Visit Days

    Summer is the perfect time to road trip to Augustana! A panel of faculty and students are available to share insight and respond to questions, student ambassadors will show you the campus, and we will treat you to lunch.

  • June 13-15: Lighting the Way Autism Conference, Walk

    As diagnoses of Autism continue to increase, two nationally known experts on autism spectrum disorders will be in Sioux Falls to speak at the "Lighting the Way: Solutions for Success" conference, set for June 13-14, at Augustana's Gilbert Science Center. Following the conference, the 2013 South Dakota Walk Now for Autism Speaks will be held on Saturday, June 15, at Kirkeby-Over Stadium.

  • June 13: CWS June Event to Feature 'Early Views of Dakota Territory'

    The Center for Western Studies at Augustana College will host its 24th annual June Event, “Stepping into History: Early Views of Dakota Territory,” featuring dinner, entertainment and the premiere of the "Dakota Territory Plans and Mountains (1866-1889): Images from the Robert Kolbe Collection." Proceeds from the event will benefit the redesign and expansion of the Center's museum exhibits.

  • May 23: Jeans & Jewels Celebrity Party to Support Athletics

    The inaugural Jeans and Jewels Celebrity Party will feature Hall of Fame coach Lute Olson and the Twin Cities' number-one show band Belladiva and will be held on Thursday, May 23, at CJ Callaway's Event Center.

  • May 17: Rendezvous Program to Explore Norway

    Students from the country of Norway will be presenting on their home country at 3 p.m. on Friday, May 17, in the Back Alley, part of the Rendezvous Program organized by the International Programs Office.

  • May 16: Speakers on Theme of "China and Globalization"

    Two speakers on Augustana’s International Theme of “China and Globalization” join us Thursday, May 16 — at 7 p.m. in Humanities 301, Shu Li, a piano professional, will present the topic of “China Music and Culture Exchange and Expansion” Delta David Gier from the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra will discuss "Classical Music as a Universal Language."

  • May 16: Bands Present Last Concert of the Season

    The Augustana Band and the College/Community Band will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, at the Elmen Center. The evening will conclude with the announcement of two Outstanding Senior Awards. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and are free for students K-12 and those with an Augustana ID.

  • May 12: Choirs, Orchestra Present Brahms’ German Requiem

    Augustana's Music Department will showcase its ensembles and faculty in a performance of Brahms’ German Requiem at 3 p.m. on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 12, at the Mary Sommervold Hall in the Washington Pavilion. The concert will feature nearly 250 student and community member singers and musicians.

  • May 11: "Saturdays at CWS" to Discuss Native Soul: An Insight into the Artwork of Jerry Fogg

    "Native Soul: An Insight into the Artwork of Jerry Fogg" is the topic of the upcoming “Saturdays at CWS” workshop event at 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, May 11. The workshop is free, but registration is required.

  • May 7: Northlanders Jazz Concert

    The Department of Performing & Visual Arts at Augustana will present a concert featuring the Northlanders Jazz Band beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, in Kresge Recital Hall.
