  • Sept. 24: Library Associates to Present Rick Steves

    Author, public television and radio host and producer Rick Steves will discuss “Travel as a Political Act,” at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24, in the Celebration Center of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. Tickets for this event, presented by the Augustana Library Associates, are $10 and are available at www.augietickets.com.

  • July 16-20: JazzFest Jazz Camp for Students

    Jazz Camp is July 16-20 for all incoming 7th through completed 12th-grade student musicians. Campers have the opportunity to study and participate in jazz theory, history of jazz, combo rehearsal, big band rehearsal, lessons, concerts, master classes and evening concerts with faculty, guests and students.

  • July 13: "Saturdays at CWS" to teach Digital Photography

    "Digital Photography" is the topic of the upcoming “Saturdays at CWS” workshop event from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, July 13. This workshop is free, but registration is required; contact Kristi Thomas at 605.274.4007.

  • June 28: Summer Visit Days

    Summer is the perfect time to road trip to Augustana! A panel of faculty and students are available to share insight and respond to questions, student ambassadors will show you the campus, and we will treat you to lunch.

  • June 23-25: Legends Celebrity Football Camp

    Build on your football skills with some of the best at the Celebrity Football Camp. Athletes in grades 5-12 have the opportunity to learn skills from Augustana's staff, high school coaches and NFL professionals.

  • CWS Exhibits "Dakota Territory Plains and Mountains: Images from the Robert Kolbe Collection"

    The Center for Western Studies' newest exhibit features "Dakota Territory Plains and Mountains: Images from the Robert Kolbe Collection." The exhibit runs through Saturday, Sept. 7, in the Madsen/Nelson/Elmen Galleries of the Fantle Building.

  • June 13-15: Lighting the Way Autism Conference, Walk

    Limited space still remains for the "Lighting the Way: Solutions for Success" autism conference set for June 13-14 on campus and featuring two nationally known experts on autism spectrum disorders. Following the conference, the 2013 South Dakota Walk Now for Autism Speaks will be held on Saturday, June 15, on campus. Register today!

  • June 13: 'Early Views of Dakota Territory'

    The Center for Western Studies at Augustana College will host its 24th annual June Event, “Stepping into History: Early Views of Dakota Territory,” featuring dinner, entertainment and the premiere of the "Dakota Territory Plains and Mountains (1866-1889): Images from the Robert Kolbe Collection." Proceeds from the event will benefit the redesign and expansion of the Center's museum exhibits. Tickets are sold out.

  • June 9: Nordland Heritage Foundation Annual Brunch, Program

    Take a step back in time at Heritage Park, a collection of historic buildings from the late 19th and early 20th century. Visit the Beaver Creek Lutheran Church, Berdahl-Rolvaag House, Eggers School House and the Rolvaag Writing Cabin, where Ole Rolvaag wrote the best-selling book, "Giants in the Earth." The 2013 annual meeting of the Nordland Heritage Foundation, the organization that maintains and oversees visitation of Heritage Park, is set for Sunday, June 9.

  • Summer Scholar Camp at Augustana

    Over afternoon sessions starting June 4, high school students of all ages will learn by focusing on relevant and compelling topics, rigorous content and test/college preparation. Space is limited; register today.
