Vikings Partner With Vikings and Other NCAA Institutions to Launch Collegiate Women’s Flag Football League
Augustana announced that the university is partnering with the Minnesota Vikings and five other NCAA institutions to launch a new collegiate women’s flag football league. Participating schools include AU, Concordia College Moorhead, Gustavus Adolphus College, Bethel University, the University of Northwestern, St. Paul and University of Wisconsin, Stout.
Augustana University, Active Generations Partner to Promote Positive Aging, Lifelong Learning
Augustana University and Dr. Lucas Hamiliton, assistant professor of psychology and director of the aging studies program, are partnering with Active Generations — a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting positive aging for adults. Learn more at augie.edu/LifelongLearning.
Labor of Love: Viking Ship Facade Made by Alumni Showcases Infamous Gjallarhorn at AU Men’s Hockey Games
The infamous Nyberg’s Ace Gjallarhorn at Augustana University’s Midco Arena has been suspended on the northeast corner of the building since opening in 2024. Now, thanks to alumni Kevin Nyberg '79, Dr. Mark Berdahl ‘81 and Dean Versteeg ‘82, Viking fans can view the gjallarhorn up close and at eye level during NCAA Division I Augustana Men’s Hockey games. Augustana’s 28th Boe Forum to Feature Presidential Historian
Hosted by Augustana University and the Center for Western Studies (CWS), the 28th Boe Forum on Public Affairs will feature an evening with Jon Meacham, presidential historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning author. The talk, entitled “What Has America Learned?” will be held at 7:30 p.m., on Wednesday, March 19, in the Elmen Center on Augustana’s campus.
