Augustana’s aging studies minor offers an interdisciplinary exploration of adult development, or gerontology. As well as studying biology, psychology and sociology, the aging studies minor emphasizes effective service to older adults and their families.
Students who minor in aging studies will gain scientific knowledge about aging from disciplines across campus, address personal concerns about how to age well, become comfortable working with older adults through experiential learning and engage in discourse about the multifaceted issues that aging presents.
