1. The policy of the Augustana University Online Bookstore is that items must be picked up within 60 days of the semester class drop date.
a. Any items that are not claimed by the student within 60 calendar days from the class drop date shall be deemed abandoned. After the 60 calendar day period, the institution has sole discretion of the abandoned textbook or other items in any manner it deems appropriate.
b. The student agrees to release abandoned textbooks or other items of merchandise.
2. Reasonable efforts will be taken to notify the student that their item is available for pick up by both Akademos and the Augustana Online Bookstore. Please watch for email notifications that your order has been delivered and pick up your items promptly.
a. Students can opt in to receive text message notifications when placing orders as well.
3. Materials may be picked up at the Nelson Service Center on Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
a. Your student ID or another form of photo ID is required at the time of pick up.
b. Items must be picked up by the person named on the “ship to/customer pickup” field.
4. The university does not take responsibility for, guarantee, or insure materials delivered to Augustana, nor is it a public warehouse pursuant to SDCL 44-14-1.
