Biography
Angela Ellman is an assistant professor and American Sign Language (ASL) Lab staff member at Augustana University. She earned a master's degree in sign language education from Gallaudet University and bachelor's degree in business administration from Colorado Technical University. Ellman is a certified American Sign Language Teachers Association (ASLTA) member and holds a Sign Language Proficiency Interview (SLPI) score of 4+. She also owns Bella & Bash Consulting, which specializes in ASL teaching and conference planning. Since 2003, she has coordinated conferences and trade shows, including annual events for the National Council of Independent Living and National Association of the Deaf. At Augustana, Ellman teaches ASL I-V, Classifiers and Deaf Culture. Passionate about teaching, she is dedicated to helping students grow from basic sign knowledge to conversational fluency.
