Biography
Arthur Vituri Marques joined the Augustana University Swimming & Diving Program as the assistant coach in September 2024, bringing a unique international perspective and deep passion for the sport. Originally from Brazil, Vituri Marques moved to the United States at 18 to pursue both swimming and academics. He began his journey at Southwestern Oregon Community College, where he became an NJCAA All-American, competing in events such as the 200 Butterfly, 400 Individual Medley and 1000 Freestyle. Vituri Marques transferred to Saginaw Valley State University, where he spent three years as a member of the swim team and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and minors in athletic coaching and exercise promotion.
In his role at Augustana, Vituri Marques assists in all aspects of the swimming & diving program, contributing to athlete development, recruitment and team success. With experience as both an athlete and coach, he is committed to fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork and personal growth.
