Biography
Beth Karel is a certified health care simulation educator and director of simulation learning in Augustana's nursing department. She is responsible for collaborating with faculty to integrate simulation, technology and active learning strategies throughout the nursing curriculum at Augustana. Karel is passionate about creating unique learning opportunities to engage students while enhancing their knowledge and skills. She also manages the nursing skills lab and senior teaching assistants. Karel maintains current nursing practice in critical care and teleheath at the Avel Electronic Intensive Care Unit.
