Biography
Chad Nelson currently teaches beginning through advanced printmaking courses. He has also occasionally taught art education classes in addition to a long stint as printmaker-in-residence. He has been a part of several national/international portfolio exchanges and international printmaking exhibitions. Nelson earned a B.A. in preprofessional art and art education from Augustana College (University), and has done graduate work at many universities, including Carlton College, University of South Dakota, University of Sioux Falls and Augustana. Through Frogman's Press and Workshop, Nelson has studied with some of America's top printmakers, including Tom Huck, Bill Fick, Art Werger, Deborah Mae Broad, Brett Anderson, Tom Christianson and Oscar Gillespie. Nelson's work is represented locally by Rehfeld's Gallery in Sioux Falls and internationally by Mesh Gallery in Chicago. Nelson actively participates in many community outreach projects, workshops and collaboration with other artists, particularly with AU's Dr. Lindsay Twa.
