Biography

Dr. Lucas Hamilton joined the faculty at Augustana University in 2023 and specializes in human aging. His research lab is the Healthy Experiences Across Life (HEAL) laboratory. Collaborating with a diverse team of researchers from various institutions, the HEAL lab uses socioemotional paradigms and neuropsychological testing to examine key health outcomes across life. A core feature of his work focuses on psychosocial factors that protect against Alzheimer's disease and related dementia. Outside of the classroom and HEAL lab, Hamilton practices what he professes as an amateur runner and cyclist, all while trying his best to keep up with his partner and two rambunctious kids.
