Biography
Dr. Mallory Kargela is an associate professor within the Augustana Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. Kargela earned a B.S. in health sciences in 2009 and DPT in 2012 from Grand Valley State University. She is board certified in cardiovascular and pulmonary physical therapy and maintains contemporary expertise by treating patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions. Kargela has been published in the "Cardiopulmonary Physical Therapy Journal" and "Internet Journal of Allied Health Sciences and Practice," focusing on physical therapy management in acute and subacute settings for cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions. She serves on the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy Item-Writing Task Force as a content expert. With more than six years of service, Kargela has reviewed continuing education content for the Arizona Physical Therapy Association. Additionally, she is an invited editorial manuscript reviewer for "The Clinical Teacher," "Journal of Acute Care Physical Therapy" and "Cardiopulmonary Physical Therapy Journal," and contributes as a content expert for textbook reviews.
