Biography 

Dr. Mary Horoshak earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) at The College of St. Scholastica in Minnesota. Horoshak’s clinical interests include aging adults and balance and fall prevention. Scholarly interests include investigating hybrid DPT education and student success, as well as balance and fall education in the hybrid DPT model. Horoshak is a board-certified geriatric specialist and certified exercise expert of aging adults. She is an experienced clinical instructor, earning advanced clinical instructor credentialing from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). She has also completed a certification course in Faculty Academic Excellence through Evidence in Motion (EiM). Horoshak serves on the content review board for the Geriatric Academy of APTA. Horoshak continues to practice in the subacute setting primarily with geriatric patients. Horoshak’s teaching responsibilities include aging adults, cardiopulmonary, evidence-based practice and clinical education courses in the Augustana DPT Program. Horoshak lives in Minnesota with her husband, two sons and daughter. In her free time, she enjoys supporting her children in their sporting, 4-H and church activities.
