Biography 

Mychal Hadrich earned a Bachelor of Arts in sign language interpreting from Augustana College (University) and Master of Arts in interpreting studies — teaching from Western Oregon University. In 2012, he secured national certification through the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) and has worked as an interpreter in community, K-12 education, performance, postsecondary education, Video Relay Service (VRS) and Video Remote Interpreting (VRI). Hadrich has also served in multiple capacities with various professional organizations. In addition to his current collegiate responsibilities, he continues to work as a community interpreter and interpreting mentor.

 

Hadrich's research interests include stress reduction and burnout within VRS, the graduation-to-certification gap and conflict resolution within the interpreting profession.
