Rev. Shawna Day

Biography 

Rev. Shawna Day joined Augustana University in the fall of 2024 with sincere gratitude for the opportunity to serve in higher education. Her previous call was as a solo pastor in South Minneapolis. She earned a Master of Divinity at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota, and undergraduate degree at Concordia University, St. Paul. Day studied social justice at The Center for Changing Lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In her program, she earned a certificate in restorative justice. At a Minnesota correctional facility in Stillwater, the program, by the Restorative Justice Council, emphasized “Rebuilding the Web of Relationships and Repairing the Harm.” Day also served in the United States Navy as a hospital corpsman.
