Full Commencement Event Schedule

Thursday, April 25 | 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. | Back Alley, Morrison Commons

The graduating members of the Class of 2024 are asked to make a 15-minute stop by the Back Alley between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 25. Offices will be available to answer questions and finalize outstanding details. This is also the chance to pick up your stole for the commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 18. If a graduating senior is unable to attend during this time to pick up their stole, we ask they please send a friend with the senior's ID number.

Friday, May 17 | 1:30 p.m. | Chapel of Reconciliation

Graduates who participated in the Civitas Honors Program will be recognized. Join us to celebrate with the graduates, their families and friends. 

Friday, May 17 | 3:30 p.m. | Chapel of Reconciliation

Augustana University nursing faculty will present members of the AU Class of 2024 with their nursing pins and representatives of the class will share reflections and special memories.

Friday, May 17 | 5:30 p.m. | Elmen Center

Family members, faculty and staff are invited to join us for baccalaureate, a worship service and special blessing for graduates, featuring the Augustana Orchestra and Augustana Choir. Tickets are not required.

Friday, May 17 | 6:30 p.m. | Midco Arena

Immediately following baccalaureate (approximately 6:30 p.m.), Augustana President Stephanie Herseth Sandlin invites graduates, family members and faculty to a celebratory reception.

This special reception provides graduates the opportunity to thank and recognize those who have helped them succeed at Augustana — their parents, family and faculty members.

Saturday, May 18 | 10:30 a.m. | Kirkeby-Over Stadium

Gates open for seating at 9:45 a.m. Seating is general admission. Tickets are not required.

Graduates | Arrive by 10 a.m. to robe and line up. Wear caps and gowns. You will be walking on grass and turf. Please consider this when choosing a shoe. NO HIGH HEELS.

Saturday, May 18 | 2 p.m. | Kirkeby-Over Stadium
