Careers
An interdisciplinary major prepares students to work in every industry and sector. Given the broad skills learned, they are prepared to move fluidly within the labor market and equipped for innumerable career paths.
Career opportunities include becoming an attorney, research associate, college professor, cultural educator or advocate, non-profit administrator or policy analyst.
Hands-On Learning
Internship opportunities include signature experiences related to the students’ chosen departments. Since students of this major often have interest in more than one area, they often participate in multiple hands-on learning opportunities.
Interdisciplinary students study away with AU faculty-led courses in their areas of interest or semester programs led by affiliate programs.
