Levitt Music Explorers Jam Camp

Join Levitt at the Falls and the Augustana University School of Music for an exciting summer camp where young musicians explore the sounds and rhythms of cultures from around the world. Campers will engage in hands-on learning with expert educators — discovering global music through rhythm, voice, dance and instrument exploration. The week will culminate in a special performance on the Levitt stage, celebrating their musical journey as part of the Festival of Cultures.

Middle School Students

Levitt Hip-Hop Jam Camp

Description: Join Levitt at the Falls and Augustana University School of Music for a dynamic summer camp experience where music intertwines with community, fostering friendships, learning, and musical inspiration.  Camp participants will immerse themselves in a week of creativity, exploring lyric development, purpose-driven creativity, beat making, hip-hop dance styles, and music production tools throughout a high-energy week of programming hosted at Augustana University. Hip-Hop Jam Camp will then culminate with a special camp performance on the Levitt at the Falls stage, showcasing the work of the campers alongside a professional musical artist as part of a Levitt Series concert event.

Hip Hop Jam Camp

High School Students

Levitt Songwriting Jam Camp

Join Levitt at the Falls and the Augustana University School of Music for a dynamic summer camp experience, where music intertwines with community, fostering friendships, learning and musical inspiration. Camp participants will learn songwriting skills, build confidence and gain inspiration from local female songwriters throughout the week with engaging programming hosted at Augustana University. Levitt Songwriting Camp will culminate with a performance on the Levitt stage — showcasing the work of the campers alongside a professional musical artist as part of a Levitt Series concert event. 

  • Monday, June 23 - Friday, June 27 | 8:30 a.m. - Noon
  • Audience | 14-18 year old girls
  • Cost | $125 or Pay-What-You-Can
  • Lead Instructors | Janice Gilbert (music educator and singer/songwriter) and Dr. Emily Roehl (Augustana University)
