The Sharon Lust School of Education is excited to announce its “Augustana University Education Lecture Series,” a virtual series set to debut in late September. The Education Lecture Series was established to bring together education leaders and experts from the region to interact with members of the Augustana community.
Assistant Professor of Education Dr. Brad Uhing said, “The Education Lecture Series is a great opportunity for our students, faculty and teachers to interact with education experts and leaders in the region. The School of Education is always looking for new ways to interact with professionals outside of the regular classroom environment.”
The School of Education is pleased to announce Dr. Jane Stavem, superintendent of Sioux Falls Public Schools, as its inaugural speaker for the series. On Tuesday, September 29, at 3:30 p.m., Stavem will join the Augustana community via Zoom with her lecture entitled “Going the Distance: Envision Your Future in Education.”
“We are thrilled to have Dr. Jane Stavem as our inaugural speaker in the Education Lecture Series. Dr. Stavem brings a wealth of instructional and leadership experience from her work in Minnesota, Nebraska, Washington, and South Dakota, and we are excited to learn from those experiences,” said Uhing.
