During January Interim (J-Term), Augustana University students are getting the chance to make the world their classroom through study-abroad courses. Four students, in particular, are getting their opportunity through the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program — an award that allows students to study abroad who may not have been able to otherwise.

Augustana University announced today that its Center for Western Studies (CWS) released a new history of South Dakota. Edited by Midwestern historian Dr. Jon K. Lauck, Old Trails and New Roads in South Dakota History, features essays by 13 historians and authors.

The Eide/Dalrymple Gallery at Augustana University opened its annual “Augustana High School Invitational,” which is on view through Friday, Feb. 3. A gallery reception will be held on Feb. 3, from 6-8:30 p.m., with an awards ceremony at 8 p.m.
