Gilman Scholarship Provides Four Augustana Students Opportunity to Study Abroad in 2024
Through the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program, four Augustana students are getting the opportunity to make the world their classroom. Susana Gebrekidan ‘26, Ashley Grandpre ‘24, Rachida Mahamed ‘25 and Alena Vishnevsky ‘26 are the 2023-24 recipients of the Gilman Scholarship — an award that allows students to study abroad who may not have been able to otherwise.

Augustana's Boe Forum to Focus on Sustainable Development
Augustana University and the Center for Western Studies (CWS) announced that Dr. Gro Harlem Brundtland, the former prime minister of Norway and director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO), will be the featured speaker for the 26th Boe Forum on Public Affairs to be held at 7:30 p.m., on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, in the Elmen Center.
Tickets Now Available for Augustana’s 27th Boe Forum
Augustana University and the Center for Western Studies (CWS) announced today that free tickets for the 27th Boe Forum on Public Affairs are now available to the public. This year, Augustana’s Boe Forum will feature an evening with New York Times opinion columnist, PBS NewsHour commentator and bestselling author David Brooks. The talk, entitled “America at the Crossroads: The Rule of Law and the Future of Democracy,” will be held at 7:30 p.m., on Tuesday, March 19, in the Elmen Center.
