Explore STEM Camp
The Augustana biology department and the natural sciences division will host a STEM Camp for middle school students. Students going into sixth, seventh and eighth grade in Fall 2023 will engage in hands-on activities designed to instill and enhance an interest in STEM. Campers are mentored by university students on a select research topic to make a poster presentation with awards for winners. Camp session topics include chick embryo dissection, human genetics, sustainability, food scarcity, coding, robotics, 3-D printing, farm visits and service learning.
A limited number of scholarships are available. Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis until capacity. The cost of the camp covers a T-shirt, reusable bag, lunch in the Ordal Dining Hall and a light snack each day, as well as all scientific materials.
During the registration, be sure to include an active, frequently-checked email address and working phone number. Additional information and materials will be sent to your email address prior to camp.
