Summer Housing

• Double Space | $495 per session
• Single Space (if available) | $595 per session

Augustana provides students with air-conditioned housing within a designated residence hall.* Students will live in Bergsaker Hall during Summer 2024. Rooms include a bed, mattress, desk, desk chair, dresser, wardrobe, MicroChill unit and individual climate control. Community bathrooms and lounge space are located on each floor in the residence hall.

*Students assigned to theme houses and apartments for Academic Year 2023-24 may request to live in their assigned space during Summer 2024, however, these assignments are subject to availability given maintenance or other needs. Students not assigned to a theme house or apartment for Academic Year 2024-25 are eligible for residence hall placement only.  

Students will receive $250 dining dollars for each session enrolled in summer housing.

• Simply to Go and Convenience Store (C-Store) open | 9 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. 
• Tuesday Dinner | Tuesday evening meals transform into Tailgate Tuesdays; join us at Midco Arena's east side parking lot (weather permitting) for outdoor dining and a variety of yard games, courtesy of Augustana Student Engagement.

Summer housing will be available primarily during the months of June and July. Though exact dates vary from year to year, students can expect that housing will open the weekend before the start of Summer Session I and close the Saturday following the end of Summer Session II.

Please Note | Augustana does not accommodate any early arrivals before the Summer Session I check-in date or late departures after the Summer Session II check-out date.

Note | Students staying for both summer sessions are allowed to remain in their housing assignment for summer session break. Students living on campus in Spring 2024 are able to remain in their spring assignment until they check in to their summer assignment. Students living on campus in Fall 2024 are expected to move into their fall assignment Saturday, Aug. 3, by 5 p.m.

Due to the nature of Augustana’s academic calendar and Office of Student Affairs obligations in May and August, early arrival and late departure requests may not be granted.

Residents are not able to store personal items in their room, apartment or house over the summer if they are not signed up for summer housing. This allows university staff to complete necessary maintenance and housekeeping on vacant spaces, and also provides housing options for summer students and summer camps.

Priority for summer housing is given to current Augustana students engaged in academic or university-related employment experience. When space is available, AU is able to offer summer housing opportunities to students from other colleges and universities who are in Sioux Falls for summer internships at local businesses.
