Applying to Augustana

Incoming first-year student (I am a senior in high school)
How much is the application? It’s always free to apply to AU.
When can I apply? You can submit your application as soon as you finish your junior year of high school.
When’s the deadline to apply? The university sends offers of admission starting early October and admits students on a rolling admission basis thereafter.
How soon will I hear back? Typically two weeks.
How do I apply for scholarships? Your application for admission is also your application for academic scholarships. Learn more about our scholarships.
Do I need a test score to apply for admission? You have two application options — a traditional option where you will submit a standardized test score or the option to apply "test-optional" where essay responses are submitted instead of a standardized test score.

Transfer student (I currently attend another college)
Start your free application today! Transfer students are encouraged to apply at least one semester prior to their desired enrollment date. The university sends the first offers of admission and academic scholarships in October and continues on a rolling basis thereafter.

Graduate students
Returning Students
Students who were enrolled in classes at Augustana in the past are not required to fill out a full application in order to return. Instead, returning students should complete this form. If you have attended another university since departing Augustana, official transcripts from that school(s) should be sent to the Augustana Registrar's Office.
