Personalized MBA for Every Student

Earn Your MBA With a Flexible Schedule

  • Students can begin the MBA program in the fall, January Interim (J-Term), spring or summer semester.

    • International students on F-1 visas are only allowed fall term (August) and spring term (February) start dates.

  • Augustana's MBA can be completed in 1-2 years, depending on individual student’s needs, interests and completion of prerequisites. Some students add the MBA to their studies immediately after earning their bachelor’s degree.
  • Courses are accelerated with most lasting seven weeks.
  • Courses are hybrid with a mix of face-to-face and online classes.

Beyond AU

Bergen Lindner ‘24, who earned an MBA, as well as a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration and management, is an account executive at Epicosity in Sioux Falls. She also serves as a marketing specialist and softball instructor for the Playground Softball Facility. Lindner, who completed four marketing internships while at AU, highlighted the value of the monthly MBA Leadership Seminar Series — saying it wasn’t until she attended a seminar on digital marketing that she solidified her passion and worked with her MBA mentor to clearly navigate her career path.

Latest News

This year’s Viking Days festivities included a special dedication ceremony for Augustana’s School of Business — now the Rydell School of Business, supported by Bill and Ellen Rydell. The Augustana community celebrated on Thursday, Oct. 3, with a gathering in the Madsen Social Science Center, home of the newly-named school.

Kadin Groen ‘26, of Sioux Falls, is double majoring in finance and fintech — part of the Augustana University Fintech Program by Pathward™. This summer, Groen interned with The Bancorp in Sioux Falls. Because of Groen’s successful internship, he was offered a role at The Bancorp as a product development analyst.

At the Birdcage and home of Sioux Falls' professional baseball team, you’re guaranteed to find Vikings among the Canaries. Along with three Augustana Baseball alumni in Sioux Falls Canaries uniforms, the team employs an alumnus as its sales executive and three students as summer interns. Canaries President Brian Jamros is also a familiar face within the Augustana School of Business and its Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program.

Leadership Academy

The Leadership Academy is the signature element of Augustana’s MBA program, providing a link between academic theories and on-the-job realities. The Leadership Academy consists of the Mentoring Program and monthly MBA Leadership Seminar Series. 

Mentoring Program

Successful business leaders working in the Sioux Falls region are paired with students based on common professional interests. The mentors help students define professional development goals, expand networks and bring business concepts to life. Students and mentors discuss contemporary theories and concepts from coursework in the context of the mentor’s industry. Mentors work in industries such as:

MBA Leadership Seminar Series

These seminars promote engagement between industry leaders and students within the MBA program. Each month, one or more top leaders from the Sioux Falls region interact with students about a relevant leadership topic to enhance students’ knowledge and experience. Providing a platform for graduate students and community members to come together, the series allows for networking, in-depth discussions and engagement. Mentors are welcome to attend every seminar and topics provide guidance for mentor/student discussions.
