March 2026 International Choir Tour

The Augustana Choir and Augustana Bach Collegium will take flight for an International Choir Tour in March 2026. The choirs will be making stops in Germany from March 4-14, 2026.

Director of the Augustana Choir Dr. Russell Svenningsen and Director of the Bach Collegium Dr. David Chin will lead the choirs for seven public concerts focused on the life and works of Johan Sebastian Bach.

Schedule*

Augustana's choirs will be promoted through the university's tour provider, Gateway Music Festivals & Tours. All concert specifics will be made available to students and posted on the Augustana School of Music (SoM) social media channels.

March 4 | Depart Sioux Falls for Minneapolis, Minnesota; fly to Berlin
March 5 | Arrive in Berlin; travel to Leipzig
March 6-8 | Performance in Leipzig
March 8-11 | Performances is Dresden, Eisenach and Arnstadt
March 12 & 13 | Performance in Potsdam; excursions in Berlin
March 14 | Travel from Berlin to Minneapolis; return to Sioux Falls

*Specific times will be announced no later than 90 days prior to the concert.

Accommodations

Airfare & Ground Transportation

Augustana will purchase flights for the students. All ground transportation in the United States and Germany is included.

Lodging

Two students will be assigned to each room in 3-4 star hotels. Breakfast will be provided at all of the hotels.

Food & Spending Money

Augustana students will need to budget for spending money and meals in their travel plans. If breakfast is included at the hotel, we will update the students as soon as possible.

Cost

Total cost for the trip will be around $5,500 - $6,000 per student. The Augustana School of Music (SoM) and International Programs Office (IPO) will communicate final costs after initial registration of students.
