AU’s Newest Podcast: Calling All Years Good
In September 2019, Studio 47 launched its own podcast based on the popular book, “Calling All Years Good: Christian Vocation Throughout Life’s Seasons,” and enlisted campus speakers to address each life stage.
Students and Faculty Collaborate on Album "Happy Together"
The Augustana String Quartet, a performance group of undergraduate students, debuted a new album of contemporary/pop string quartet music titled "Happy Together." The album is available on Spotify, Google Play, Apple Music/iTunes, Amazon Music and more.
Former Bishop of Jordan and the Holy Land to Visit Augustana University and Sioux Falls
Bishop Munib Younan, former Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land and the past president of the Lutheran World Federation, will visit Augustana University and the Sioux Falls community Sept. 18-23. A leading global voice in Jewish-Christian-Muslim relations in the Middle East and around the world, Bishop Younan will spend time with Augustana students, faculty and staff. He also plans to engage area churches to discuss interfaith relations. All of the events are free and open to the public.
2019-20 Academic Year Opens, Sophomore Honors Recognized
Together with their professors, Augustana's newest Vikings — the Class of 2023 — witnessed the official opening of the 2019-20 academic year at the August 27 Opening Convocation ceremony. The event marked the beginning of the University's 159th academic year and was held on campus in the Elmen Center.
