- 1:35 PM - Froiland Science Center (2407 S. Summit Ave) Medical Aid. CSO was flagged down by a non-student on the public sidewalk adjacent to campus. The subject was suffering from the effects of an unknown drug and requested medical assistance. SFPD and Medics were contacted and responded. They took control of the scene and CSOs cleared the scene as the subject was being transported to Sanford Hospital for treatment. An incident report was completed.

- 2:00 PM - Costello Hall Parking Lot (2413 S. Grange Ave) Trespass. Student reported a man refusing to exit her vehicle. She had allowed the elderly subject to sit in her car to rest but when she asked him to leave the vehicle he would not do so. CSO responded and notified the SFPD since it appeared the subject might be intoxicated or have a medical issue. Police spoke with him and the man left when asked to do so. An incident report was completed.

- 1:03 AM - Tuve Hall (2016 S. Menlo Ave) Fire Alarm. CSO responded to a fire alarm in the residence hall where the alarm panel indicated the source of the activation was the third level, zone 4. SFFR arrived and upon checking, found no sign of fire. Fire personnel reset the alarm panel and cleared the scene. An incident report was completed.

- 4:15 AM - Solberg Hall Parking Lot (2312 S. Grange Ave) Vehicle Theft. Student reported someone had entered his unlocked vehicle and removed it from the parking lot without his permission. In addition to not locking his doors, the student had left the keys in the center console of the vehicle. The student was instructed to file a stolen vehicle report with SFPD and an incident report was completed.
- 5:15 PM - Balcer Apartments, Parking Lot (2420 S. Summit Ave) Vehicle Damage. Student reported he had just returned to campus after a 2 week absence and found the passenger side mirror of his vehicle had been broken off the mount. A review of security camera footage revealed the damage was caused by severe wind and weather that had occurred on 6/17/24 at about 1:05 AM. An incident report was completed.

- 4:55 PM - Bergsaker Hall (1110 W. 33rd St) Fire Alarm. CSOs were alerted to a fire alarm at the residence hall. Upon arrival they found the system in full alarm and students evacuating the building. The alarm was set off by students cooking in the kitchen without cleaning off the burners. SFFR responded, checked the scene and reset the alarm panel. An incident report was completed.

- 3:30 PM - Bergsaker Hall (1110 W. 33rd St) Harassment. Student reported receiving a racist and foul note taped to the door of his room because he was apparently playing music too loud for someones liking. Instead of asking him to lower it or calling Campus Safety to do so, the anonymous note was left. The victim did not want SFPD contacted at this time. An incident report was completed and the note is attached.

- 6:28 AM - Tuve Hall (2016 S. Menlo Ave) Fire Alarm. CSO responded to a fire alarm in the residence hall and evacuated two individuals who were in the building. SFFR arrived and upon checking, found no sign of fire but did locate a smoke detector on the third floor which had been soaked by water leaking from the roof. Fire personnel cleared the scene and the CSO turned in a maintenance request. An incident report was completed.

- 4:35 PM - Bergsaker Hall (1110 W. 33rd St) Medical Aid. CSOs were notified by Sioux Falls Metro Communications that an ambulance was en-route to a call on campus and medics would have to be let into the residence hall. They met the medics and escorted them to the student's room where they conducted a preliminary examination. Medics determined the student should be transported via ambulance to Avera hospital for further evaluation and medical treatment. An incident report was completed.

- 12:03 PM - Granskou Hall (2009 S. Prairie Ave) Narcotics Violation. Staff member reported finding a plastic bag containing dried mushrooms, as well as several capsules while cleaning rooms in the residence hall. The rooms have been unoccupied since the end of the spring semester. CSO took custody of the contraband and locked in the secure Campus Safety evidence area pending further action. An incident report was completed.

- 10:30 AM - North Sidewalk of 33rd St. (between Bergsaker Hall and Froiland Science Center) Disorderly Conduct. CSO was stopped in the golf cart waiting for a break in traffic to cross 33rd St. to make a patrol check of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. As a vehicle drove by, an occupant threw an egg at the officer and it hit the roof of the golf cart without hitting him or causing any damage. An incident report was completed.

- 7:38 AM - Valhalla House (1923 S. Prairie Ave) Fire Alarm. CSO received notification of a fire alarm activation over the Campus Safety cell phone. CSOs evacuated the two occupants of the building who were awakened by the alarm and SFFR responded. They checked the building and could find no cause for the alarm activation. SFFR reset the alarm panel and cleared the scene. An incident report was completed.
- 9:51 PM - Costello Hall (2413 S. Grange Ave) Marijuana Odor. Student reported the strong odor of burnt marijuana in the second floor hallway. CSOs responded and found the odor to be strongest outside 3 particular rooms in the south end of the hall but could not narrow it down any further. An incident report was completed.

- 2:26 PM - Our Savior's Lutheran Church (909 W. 33rd St) Trespass. While performing a walk through of the facility, CSOs came across an individual sitting in the basement lounge area. When asked what he was doing there he appeared confused and could give no legitimate reason for being in the closed and locked building. The CSOs escorted him out after advising him he would be subject to arrest for any future violations. An incident report was completed.

- 3:21 PM - Morrison Commons, Commons Drive Loop (2112 S. Grange Ave) Traffic Collision. Student reported witnessing a vehicle back up and bump a parked vehicle and the driver left after looking at the bumpers of the two vehicles. The owner of the parked vehicle responded and advised there was no damage to his car and did not wish SFPD to be contacted. An incident report was completed.
- 6:05 PM - Bergsaker Hall (1110 W. 33rd St) Theft. Student reported she had paid for a Door-Dash food delivery and had received a text informing her it had been left inside the vestibule of the residence hall. When she walked down to pick up the food it was not there. A friend had received a delivery at the same time from a different fast food establishment and driver and it was present. CSO reviewed security camera footage and saw that the two deliveries were made at the same time and both vehicles pulled away from the building and drove away simultaneously. The driver who had delivered the food which turned up missing turned right on 33rd and the other delivery vehicle turned left and immediately turned back into the residence hall driveway. The driver exited his vehicle, entered the vestibule and came back out a moment later carrying a fast food bag. CSO gave this information to the student to follow up with Door-Dash or SFPD. An incident report was completed.

- 10:05 Elmen Center (2505 S. Grange Ave) Medical Aid. CSOs responded to an alert from Zuercher system on the cell phone of an occurrence in the parking lot. Upon their arrival an elderly woman was being placed on a stretcher and loaded into an ambulance by medics. An SFPD officer was present and the woman's husband told CSOs she had opened or closed the tailgate of their SUV, twisted her hip and fallen down. She was transported by ambulance to Sanford Hospital. An incident report was completed.

- 11:24 Bergsaker Hall (1110 W. 33rd St) Electrical Problem. CSOs assisted students with a power outage in their assigned room. They attempted to reset the circuit breaker for the room but were not successful. The students were relocated to another room and Maintenance on call was notified of the problem and responded. an incident report was completed.

- 4:40 PM - Kirkeby-Over Stadium (2700 S. Lake Ave) Burglary. While making a patrol check of the stadium, CSO found an unauthorized subject inside the gate. When he confronted her she became argumentative and exited the stadium. As she started walking away the individual said she had taken property from inside the building. SFPD was called and located the suspect at 29th St. and Grange Ave. CSO had checked the stadium floor by floor and saw that some of the suites had been rummaged through. He responded to where the police had the subject detained, positively identified her and she was officially trespassed and arrested for burglary. An incident report was completed.

- 1:00 PM - Administration Building (2101 S.. Summit Ave) Vandalism. Staff member reported a window on the third floor of the building had been broken. No witnesses or evidence of when or by whom the window was broken has been located. A maintenance work order was submitted to have it repaired. An incident report was completed.
- 8:34 PM - Granskou Hall (2009 S. Prairie Ave) Welfare Check. Student reported loud crying from a room in the residence hall. A CSO and the HDOC located the room and a female answered the door when they knocked. She was talking on the phone and had obviously been crying, for which she apologized stating she had recently lost someone. When asked if she wanted to talk about whatever was upsetting her or if she wanted to take advantage of any of the counseling resources available she declined.

- 7:05 PM - Bergsaker Hall (1110 W. 33rd St) Medical Aid. Student reported she had cut her finger on the sharp edge of a can in the kitchen of the residence hall. The laceration appeared to be relatively minor and had stopped bleeding prior to the arrival of a CSO. An adhesive bandage was applied and no further medical treatment was required. An incident report was completed.
- 7:10 PM - Off Campus (Grange Ave. between 31st St. and 37th St.) Possible Abduction. CSO was flagged down by residents of a house on Grange Avenue across the street from campus. They reported two male subjects appeared to be walking a female s/b on the sidewalk against her will. The CSO drove further south and located the subjects. The female said the males were going to force her to have sex with them and asked the CSO to call the police which he relayed to the dispatcher. One of the subjects then ran s/b and the CSO followed him and was able to assist SFPD officers locate him when they arrived a short time later. No students or staff were involved. An incident report was completed.

- 2:48 AM - Global Education House (2001 S. Norton Ave) Property Damage. While walking through on patrol, CSO discovered a window in the n/e vestibule was broken. There was no indication of when, how, or by whom it had been broken. A maintenance report requesting replacement was submitted. An incident report was completed.
- 9:55 AM - Kirkeby-Over Stadium (2700 S. Lake Ave) Medical Aid. While working the graduation ceremony, CSOs responded to a report of a guest who had fallen near gate C. Two other spectators that are EMTs were looking after the individual when CSOs arrived and he did not request any further treatment beyond a couple of bandages for a laceration and a small abrasion, which the CSOs provided. The individual then went into the stands and found his seat. An incident report was completed.
- 11:15 PM - Administration Building (2101 S.. Summit Ave) Water Leak. CSO unlocked the building to let in an employee to service malfunctioning IT equipment. Upon entering the cable room they saw there was water leaking down from the ceiling. Upon checking they found the leak was from the water heater on the third floor and called for the Maintenance on Call to respond to address the leak. An incident report was completed.

- 3:10 PM - Morrison Commons, West Sidewalk (2112 S. Grange Ave) Medical Assist. A non-student visitor to the campus reported she had tripped over the base of a metal barricade that was set up next to the s/w corner of the building to cordon off construction equipment storage. She stated she fell scraping her arm and scratching her eye glasses. The subject declined medical treatment and was given some bandages which she applied to the wound on her arm. CSO photographed the injury, the damage to her glasses and the barricade she had tripped on. An incident report was completed.

- 12:15 AM - Bergsaker Hall (1110 W. 33rd St) Disorderly Conduct. CSOs observed a crowd of students gathered on the grass on the east side of the residence hall watching the area of the pond. As they exited their patrol vehicle they saw several students get out of the pond an run toward Wagoner Hall. CSOs yelled for them to stop but they ignored the command and ran into the residence hall. An incident report was completed.

- 9:02 PM - Midco Arena (2510 S. Grange Ave) CSOs observed an individual who was sitting on the west steps into the building with his shoe and sock off for several minutes. Since he did not appear to be a student and was making no effort to leave, they made contact with him and advised that he was on private property and would have to move on. He immediately got belligerent, accused the CSOs of being racist and called SFPD to report them. An officer returned his call and advised the subject the Arena is private property and he should leave before the CSOs have him arrested for trespassing. He then started walking away on the city sidewalk without any further problem. An incident report was completed.

- 8:15 AM - Wagoner Hall (2300 S. Grange Ave) Disorderly Conduct. CSOs responded to a call of a possible argument in the 1st floor lounge area of the residence hall that had been reported by an unknown student. Upon their arrival all was quiet an there was no sign of trouble. They contacted a staff member who they saw working and she said the report had probably been about her as she had been upset by some personal issues that were bothering her. To get it off her chest, she had been imagining those who had wronged her were sitting there and she was telling them off and got carried away. CSOs talked with the staff member and saw that she had calmed down and was able to continue her work. They advised her to call Campus Safety if she needed to talk in the future and left the scene. An incident report was completed.
- 1:33 PM - Fryxell Humanities Center (2120 S. Grange Ave) Disorderly Conduct. CSOs were dispatched to a call of a male subject making students uncomfortable. they contacted him and he confirmed he was not an Augustana Student and had no reason to be on campus. They asked him to leave which he did after making disparaging remarks about the CSOs and Augie students. An incident report was completed.

- 2:31 AM - Stavig Hall (2008 S. Walts Ave) Destruction of University Property. CSOs responded to a report of items being thrown out of a 7th floor window on the east side of the residence hall. The calling party had not given her name and had not seen who was throwing the items from the floor above . CSOs did not locate anyone in the area of 7th floor day room where the screen had been torn out of the window and several chairs were missing. The chairs and some broken beer bottles were found on the concrete deck below and the air conditioner chiller unit was damaged by the impacts from the items thrown. This knocked out the air conditioning for the entire 8 floor facility until it can be repaired. An incident report was completed.
- 5:04 PM - Stavig Hall (2008 S. Walts Ave) Fire Safety Violation. Student reported finding a partially burned cardboard box on the 3rd floor landing of the emergency exit stairwell. CSO responded, took photographs of the scene, and removed the box to the trash dumpster. No suspects were located. An incident report was completed.

- 1:50 AM - Stavig Hall (2008 S. Walts Ave) Wellness Check. CSOs and HDOC responded to an anonymous report of a student suffering from emotional issues who might be "cutting" herself. The student was visibly distraught and readily admitted to having difficulty coping with some personal and school related issues, but denied any intention of self harm. She pulled up her sleeves showing there were no injuries and a look around the room revealed no cutting instruments in view. The student related she has been receiving help from the campus mental health specialist and Avera Behavioral Health. CSOs and the HDOC determined there was no immediate danger and cleared the scene with a suggestion of follow up with those resources. An incident report was completed.

- 9:25 AM - Administration Building, Registrars Office (2101 S. Summit Ave) Disorderly Conduct. CSOs were called to the office for a report of a suspicious individual who had been inquiring about attending the University and made personnel uncomfortable. After hearing a description of the subject, CSO showed a photo of a person from an encounter several days earlier and it was confirmed to be the same individual. CSOs then looked around campus and located him in the library using a computer provided for the exclusive use of students. They asked him to step outside with them and he complied. CSOs instructed him not to return to campus unless he is contacted by the Registrar's Office and accepted as a student or he would be trespassed. He then left campus. An incident report was completed.

- 8:00 PM - Stavig Hall (2008 S. Walts Ave) Burglary. Student reported the current boyfriend of his former girlfriend had been making threats against him through social media sites from out of state. Today he is in Sioux Falls and came to campus, was let into the residence hall by a student who did not know the individual, entered the students unlocked room while he was out and left a threatening note. SFPD officers responded and took a crime report for burglary and advised the student they were going to attempt to arrest the suspect at the motel he is staying at in town. An incident report was completed.

- 12:39 AM - Off Campus (S/W corner of 33rd St. & Summit Ave) Disorderly Conduct. Several female students flagged down a patrolling CSO and reported they had been approached by an individual (non-student) requesting sex. CSO located the extremely intoxicated subject and called SFPD. A unit responded and the subject was taken into custody for detox. An incident report was completed.
- 9:55 AM - O'Gorman High School Athletic Field (3201 S. Kiwanis Ave) Intentional Damage to Property. CSO received a call from an SFPD officer requesting the identity of the student who had been issued a parking permit. The permit was on a vehicle that had become stuck and abandoned in a marshy area on the high school campus. Prior to being immobilized, the vehicle had torn up the artificial turf of a practice football field, driven through three separate fences and destroyed a team bench. The student was identified and interviewed by a CSO and police who then arrested him on felony charges. An incident report was completed.
- 1:29 PM - Bergsaker Hall, Lawn on S/W Corner (1110 W. 33rd St) Disorderly Person. CSOs responded to a report of a non-student on campus. They found some abandoned property in the area of the University Marquis which they collected and put in storage for safekeeping. Later an individual approached CSOs requesting his property. He was advised he could not be on campus and, after they returned his property, he agreed to leave. An incident report was completed.
- 6:06 PM - Granskou Hall, (2009 S. Prairie Ave) Smoking/Fire Safety Violations. CSO responded to a call of a strong odor of cigarette smoke in the residence hall corridor. It was particularly heavy in the area of two rooms. They made contact with the student in one room and he confirmed he smoked but denied doing so in his room, stating he always goes across the street to do so. While talking to him a CSO observed a candle in plain sight and advised the student to dispose of it since it is a violation of fire safety code and school policy. The student agreed to do so and the CSOs cleared the call. An incident report was completed.
- 10:30 PM - Wagoner Hall (2300 S. Grange Ave) Trespass. CSOs responded to a call of a subject in the residence hall who did not appear to be a student. Upon contact, she said she is an Augustana student but does not have a student ID card and refuses to show CSOs any form of ID or even tell them her name. CSO advised she would be charged with criminal trespass if she returns to campus without a legitimate reason. The women appears to be in her thirties and left upon being instructed to do so. The same individual has been found sleeping in the Back Alley area of the Commons on prior occasions and has immediately left without identifying herself when contacted by CSOs. An incident report was completed.

- 5:50 PM - Wagoner Hall, North Fire Door (2300 S. Grange Ave) Safety Violation. CSO observed student prop open the fire door to the alley north of the residence hall by placing a rock in the door jamb, preventing the door from closing completely and the lock from engaging. This has become a common practice to avoid having to walk to another door and leaves the building vulnerable to entry by non-students who have no legitimate purpose to enter. It endangers the safety of all residents persons and property. The CSO attempted to contact the student but he was unable to see where she went in the building. Student was identified via Buzz Book and an incident report was completed.

- 9:59 PM - Costello Hall (2413 S. Grange Ave) Welfare Check. CSOs and HDOC responded to a call of a student who might be contemplating self harm. They contacted the student who was visibly upset and admitted to being overwhelmed by her schoolwork. She further stated she has thought of harming herself but was receptive to the suggestion of voluntarily going to Avera Behavioral Health. CSO transported her and a friend for support to Avera. An incident report was completed.

- 2:30 AM - Solberg Hall (2312 S. Grange Ave) Alcohol violation. While on patrol officers observed students with alcohol in their room. Officers questioned students and confiscated the alcohol then disposed of it. Incident report was completed.
- 8:29 AM - Solberg Hall Parking Lot (2312 S. Grange Ave) Vehicle Tow. CSO observed a vehicle without a proper parking permit parked in a reserved parking space in the lot. Upon checking, he discovered it had 7 prior parking violations and had been issued a tow warning that any further violation would result in the vehicle being towed. Jim & Ron's Towing arrived and removed the vehicle from campus. An incident report was completed.

- 11:10 AM - Chapel of Reconciliation (2125 S. Summit Ave) Disorderly Conduct. CSO’s responded to a call of a subject asking for food outside of the Chapel. The area was searched and the subject was found inside the library. Subject left the library and CSO’s confronted the individual outside. The subject was identified and he denied asking for food and said he was just looking to apply for schooling. CSO’ observed the subject enter the Welcome Center and then shortly leave the building and Augustana property. An incident report was completed.
- 11:54 PM - Granskou Hall (2009 S. Prairie Ave) Marijuana Violation. Student reported a subject that smelled of marijuana on the 8th floor. When CSO’s arrived the RP said a male had already left the area but CSO’s could still smell the strong odor of marijuana in the area. The subject was not located. An incident report was completed.

- 7:18 PM - Granskou Hall (2009 S. Prairie Ave) Smoking Violation. CSO responded to the 7th floor of of the residence hall for a report of cigarette smell. CSO could smell the smoke in the corridor between rooms 711 and 708 but was not able to pinpoint the exact location the smell was coming from. Cigarette butts were found in the fire exit. An incident report was completed.

- 3:15 PM - Fryxell Humanities Center, South Alleyway (2120 S. Grange Ave) Vehicle Collision. CSO witnessed a vehicle back up in the alley until it hit a yellow pole bending it sideways. The CSO contacted the driver and obtained her license, registration and insurance information and an SFPD officer responded and issued a red tag. An incident report was completed.

- 12:04 PM - Online Platform (YIK YAK) Disorderly Conduct. Students reported several concerning posts on the Yik Yak social media platform. One of the posts mentioned a student had attempted suicide because of the Turning Point organization. The student in question was identified and officers made contact. It was found that the student had already spoken with the University mental health counselor and the Dean of Students and was determine to be safe for now. An incident report was completed.
- 2:14 PM - Administration Building. (2101 S. Summit Ave) Information. It was reported to Campus Safety that the Admissions Office had received an anonymous email which contained graphic images. The email made reference to an incoming student for the coming fall semester and some concerning allegations about messages that this student may have made. An incident report was completed.

- 3:15 AM - Balcer Apartments, Parking Lot (2420 S. Summit Ave) Criminal Entry Into Vehicle. Student reported unknown person(s) had entered her vehicle without permission and rummaged through the glove compartment and center console. They removed an old purse from the vehicle but threw it on the ground when they discovered there was nothing in it. The vehicle had not been locked prior to the entry based on video footage of the suspects trying the door handles on all of the parked vehicles until finding this one that opened. An incident report was completed.
- 3:15 AM - Nelsen Apartments (2320 S. Summit Ave) Criminal Entry Into Vehicle. Student reported unknown person(s) had entered her vehicle without permission and rummaged through the glove compartment and center console. The owner said she heard the locks open when she activated the FOB but video footage shows the suspects trying the doors along Summit until they located one that opened. Nothing appeared to be missing from the vehicle. An incident report was completed.
- 12:15 PM - Schoeneman Apartments, Parking Lot (11-1419 W. 33rd St) Property Damage. Student reported that the windshield of her vehicle was hit by a baseball and broken while parked in her assigned parking area for her apartment, adjacent to the baseball field. Team members had notified her of the damage. An incident report was completed.

- 7:09 AM - Stavig Hall (2008 S. Walts Ave) Elevator Malfunction. CSOs responded to the residence hall after a city wide power outage left a student trapped in an elevator. After confirming the student was stuck on the first floor and was not hurt or in distress, SFFR was called and responded. Upon their arrival, Fire Fighters manually opened the elevator doors and extricated the student. When power was restored shortly afterward, they reset the elevator, insured it was functioning properly and cleared the scene by 7:45 AM. An incident report was completed.

- 2:16 AM - Morrison Commons, Campus Green (2112 S. Grange Ave) Disorderly Conduct. Student reported several students had deliberately walked through a pro-life display knocking down a large portion of the display because they did not agree with the message and are intolerant of opinions contrary to those they hold. The pro-life group had prior approval for the display. The suspect students have been identified through video footage. An incident report was completed.
- 8:35 PM - Bergsaker Hall (1110 W. 33rd St) Alcohol Violation. Student reported seeing a social media post showing alcoholic beverages in another students room. CSOs and the HDOC responded and saw two bottles of Mike's Hard Lemonade on a table in the room. The student in the residence hall stated the alcohol belongs to his roommate who was not present and there was no indication that the student who was in the room had been drinking. The alcohol was confiscated and an incident report was completed.
- 9:30 PM - Chapel of Reconciliation (2125 S. Summit Ave) Property Damage. Two students came into the Campus Safety office to report they had accidentally broken a window in the chapel. The students said they had been hitting golf balls on the campus green when one landed on the concrete sidewalk and bounced up, hitting and breaking the window. CSO filled out a maintenance request to get the window repaired. An incident report was completed.

- 9:18 AM - Bergsaker Hall, Fire Lane Loop (1110 W. 33rd St) Vehicle Tow. CSO observed a vehicle parked in the posted fire lane, no parking zone on the driveway in front of the residence hall. Jim & Ron's Towing called and removed the vehicle from campus. An incident report was completed.
- 10:07 PM - Stavig Hall, Driveway Loop (2008 S. Walts Ave) Vandalism. A USF student parked her vehicle in the loop while she visited with a friend who resides in Stavig Hall. When she returned to her vehicle she discovered there were scratches across the hood of her vehicle that had not been present when she parked it. The only reason she could think this would happen is that she has a USF parking permit on the vehicle. An incident report was completed.

- 12:15 PM - Granskou Hall, Laundry Room (2009 S. Prairie Ave) Maintenance Issue. Student reported a malfunctioning washing machine in the residence hall laundry room. She stated she had placed her clothes and detergent in the machine and started it. As she turned it on, there was a flash of light behind the machine and she smelled the odor of burnt plastic. CSOs unplugged the machine and placed an "out of order" sign on it. They instructed the student to remove her laundry from the machine and use one of the other washers. A maintenance request was submitted and an incident report was completed.
- 10:37 PM Midco Arena, Parking Lot (2510 S. Grange Ave) Suspicious Activity. Employee reported he was sitting in his parked vehicle in the parking lot when two individuals wearing ski masks ran directly toward his vehicle. As he tried to drive around them to exit the lot, they continued to run into the path of his vehicle forcing him to brake and try to maneuver around them. After blocking the employee from leaving for a short time, a friend drove up, they jumped into her car and left the area. By reviewing security camera footage from Bergsaker Hall CSOs were able to identify the subjects before they put the masks on and walked over to the parking lot. An incident report was completed.

- 10:05 AM - Midco Arena (2510 S. Grange Ave) Found Property. Employee reported an abandoned bicycle in a planter box on the west side of the hockey stadium. CSOs found the dismantled bike broken down into three parts consisting of the frame, front wheel, and handlebar. There was nothing to indicate ownership of the bicycle so they removed it and placed it in secure storage to be returned should someone claim it. An incident report was completed.

- 6:06 PM - Our Savior's Lutheran Church (909 W. 33rd St) Welfare Check. CSOs responded to a call from church staff reporting a juvenile who had come to them seeking help. The subject said he was afraid to go home since his family was accusing him of stealing some money and his 18 year old sister had slapped him. CSO contacted SFPD and officers responded and took custody of the juvenile. An incident report was completed.

- 4:20 AM - Solberg Hall Parking Lot (2312 S. Grange Ave) Vehicle Tow. CSO observed a vehicle without a proper parking permit parked in the lot. Upon checking, he discovered it had 5 prior parking violations and had been issued a tow warning that any further violation would result in the vehicle being towed. Jim & Ron's Towing arrived and removed the vehicle from campus. An incident report was completed.
- 6:27 AM - Nelsen Apartments (2320 S. Summit Ave) Theft From Vehicle/Firearms Violation. CSO was contacted by an SFPD officer requesting any security camera footage that shows suspect(s) entering a vehicle parked behind the apartments the previous evening. A firearm that had been left in plain sight in the unlocked vehicle, in violation of university policy, was stolen. CSOs reviewed the video and saw the theft had occurred at approximately 5:02 AM and provided copies to police. The student reported he had left the firearm in a gun case on the back seat of his Nissan Altima because he was planning to go to the pistol range. An incident report was completed.

- 3:59 AM - Solberg Hall Parking Lot (2312 S. Grange Ave) Vehicle Tow. CSO observed a vehicle with an improper parking permit in the lot. Upon checking, he discovered it had 11 prior parking violations and had been issued a tow warning that any further violation would result in the vehicle being towed. Jim & Ron's Towing was not available so Lightning Towing arrived and removed the vehicle from campus. An incident report was completed.
- 7:45 AM Baseball/Softball Complex (2812 S. Lake Ave) Suspicious Activity Student reported she had been walking near the field when a blue vehicle had stopped next to her and an occupant had rolled down the window and yelled something to her that she did not understand. She continued to walk and the vehicle pulled up adjacent to her a second time and stopped before driving away. The only description she could give is that the car had a "messed up bumper" and the two occupants were wearing masks. CSOs were unable to locate the vehicle on or near the campus. An incident report was completed.
- 10:20 PM - Morrison Commons (2112 S. Grange Ave) Interference with Wildlife. CSOs received a report that two students had captured a couple of baby wild rabbits outside of the building and had brought them to their residence hall. They made contact with the students who were in possession of the rabbits and had them return and release them where they had captured them. An incident report was completed.

- 1:55 PM - Froiland Science Center (2407 S. Summit Ave) Alcohol Violation. While walking through the building, CSOs saw a couple of unattended bags containing 3 bottles of wine at the base of a steel support beam in the hallway. They brought the wine to the Campus Safety office and reviewed security camera footage to identify who had left it. CSOs were able to identify the responsible party as an instructor and contacted him. He stated he had brought the wine for a celebration at the conclusion of a research symposium and then realized he did not have his keys to secure the alcohol in a room. The wine was returned to the professor. An incident report was completed.
- 11:30 PM - Morrison Commons, Motorcycle Parking Area (2112 S. Grange Ave) Theft. Staff member reported unknown person(s) had taken a black Harley Davidson hoodie sweatshirt from inside one of the saddlebags of his motorcycle while it was parked in the designated area on the west side of the building. There was also several items of trash left on his bike. including smoothie cups. After a review of security camera footage, CSOs were able to identify a group of students who had been carrying smoothies when they were approaching the area and no longer had them as they walked away. Thy were identified and contacted and immediately admitted to leaving the trash on the motorcycle as a joke, thinking it was their friends bike, but denied opening the saddlebags or taking anything from the bike. An incident report was completed.

- 6:15 PM - Costello Hall (2413 S. Grange Ave) Property Damage. While patrolling the campus, CSOs observed a broken window on the west side of a ground floor apartment. They attempted to contact the student resident of the apartment but there was no answer when they knocked on the door. An e-mail was sent to the student and an incident report was completed.

- 6:05 PM - Granskou Hall, Parking Lot (2009 S. Prairie Ave) Vehicle Damage. Student reported new damage to her vehicle in the form a scrape and white vertical paint transfer on the passenger side as well as the right side mirror being collapsed against the side of the car. Upon inspection by CSOs and SFPD it appeared the marks were probably the result of a door being opened and hitting the side of her vehicle rather than a hit and run. A police report was not filed but the officer did issue a red tag so the student could get the damage repaired. An incident report was completed.

- 8:30 AM - Morrison Commons, Ordal Dining Hall (2112 S. Grange Ave) Trespassers. SODEXO employee reported a former employee and several other individuals had been seen on the premises on several occasions. Campus Safety had not been notified anytime they were present and were only advised of this on Saturday 4/7/2024. It was reported that the former employee walks through the kitchen and dining hall complex unlocking and propping open doors after staff have locked them up for the evening. Nothing has been reported to be missing or damaged at this time. An incident report was completed.

- 3:00 PM - Elmen Center (2505 S. Grange Ave) Damaged Vehicle. Employee reported his vehicle had been hit by a baseball while parked in the maintenance area west of the building. CSO photographed a dent in the rear passenger side of the vehicle that is consistent with what would be caused by a baseball. An incident report was completed.

- 2:19 PM - Wagoner Hall N/E Bike Rack (2300 S. Grange Ave) Bicycle Theft. Student reported the cable lock had been broken and his bike had been stolen. A review of security camera footage showed a male subject had approached the bike at about 12:20 AM on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, broke the lock and stole the bike. An incident report was completed.
- 7:15 PM - Costello Hall (2413 S. Grange Ave) Plumbing Issue. Student reported their sink was overflowing and water was dripping down through a ceiling light fixture in his apartment. Maintenance on Call was notified and responded. While waiting for his arrival CSOs checked the apartment above and discovered it was also flooding. After checking the problem ot the maintenance worker called for Roto-Rooter and they responded and cleared the clogged drains that were causing the problem. An incident report was completed.

- 3:12 PM - Svendsbye Apartments (2410 S. Summit Ave) Summit Alley. Employee reported a coaxial cable had broken and the loose end was hanging down within 5' of the ground where someone could easily reach it. It has been severed for several weeks but is hanging much lower than it had been. The various local cable companies had been contacted but had not responded. They will be recontacted by Augustana maintenance staff. An incident report was completed.

- 4:04 PM - Wagoner Hall (2300 S. Grange Ave) Wellness Check. CSOs responded to a 911 call from Sioux Falls Metro, placed by Sioux Falls Psychological Services regarding a student. A counselor had been talking to the student who was possibly having suicidal thoughts when the student hung up the phone. CSOs and the HDOC responded to the students room at the residence hall and SFPD officers also responded. It was determined the student was frustrated with her school work but is not planning to harm herself. She will continue with her counseling and try to deal better with her situation. An incident report was completed.
