Biography
Dr. David Everson teaches courses in sociology, criminology/criminal justice and Indigenous studies. His research on settler colonialism, social movements and community-based violence prevention has been published in U.S. and international sociology journals. Everson's most recent research project outlines a theory of racial discourse in settler colonial societies, emphasizing the distinctive nature of anti-Indigenous cultural narratives ("Narrating the Territorial Foundations of Privilege," Sociology of Race & Ethnicity; "Red Power, White Narrative," Settler Colonial Studies).
