Biography
Sydney Smith arrived in Sioux Falls after spending two years in Brookings, South Dakota, as an athletics communications intern with South Dakota State University (SDSU). Throughout her two years with the Jackrabbits, she led communication efforts for the cross country and track & field teams while assisting with football, volleyball, softball and basketball.
In addition to her time at SDSU, Smith served as an on-site sports information contact with the Summit League Championships, arranging local and national media coverage. She has also worked two NCAA basketball tournaments and one NCAA softball tournament.
Smith earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from SDSU in December 2022.
