Biography 

Dr. Tiffany Barrett earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of Colorado and Doctor of Science (DSc) from Texas Tech University. As a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy (OCS), Barrett brings extensive clinical expertise in managing low back and neck pain, along with running-related injuries. Her research focuses on the implementation of innovative programs for low back pain management and running analysis, with a strong emphasis on translating evidence into clinical practice. Barrett has contributed to numerous publications and delivered professional presentations aimed at bridging the gap between research and practice.

 

Barrett is deeply passionate about DPT education, particularly fostering student self-reflection and metacognition. Her teaching philosophy revolves around inspiring students to become self-driven learners who are compassionate and connect with their patients. At Augustana University, she plays a key role in the DPT program, teaching courses in musculoskeletal practice and anatomy.

 

Residing in Waco, Texas, with her husband and three children, Barrett enjoys spending her free time outdoors, hiking, skiing and running.
