Biography 

Dr. Will Wright specializes in public history, environmental history and history of science (biology) in North America. After earning a Ph.D. from Montana State University, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of British Columbia on a project using animal history to inform the ethics and governance of gene editing applications on farm animals. Wright has a book about histories of transnational conservation, which investigates the origins of wildlife corridors as a climate adaptation strategy, under consideration for publication by University of North Carolina Press. Wright regularly teaches courses such as American History, U.S. Environmental History, Foundations of Public History, Digital History, Darwinian Revolution and the National Parks.
