What is covered with the Launch Program?
Full-time tuition for eligible students is covered by Augustana scholarships and grants, as well as state and federal scholarships and grants.
Do students need to apply?
Students are automatically considered for the Launch Program if they meet the eligibility requirements. Eligible students must be offered admission to Augustana for Fall 2025.
Do students need to maintain all eligibility requirements on an annual basis?
Yes. The financial support a student receives through the LAUNCH program is renewable for up to four (4) consecutive years (eight semesters). Students need to continue to file a FAFSA, show parent income is below $80,000 and maintain Pell Grant eligibility. Students also need to remain in good academic standing and be enrolled full time at AU.
How long can a student participate in the Launch Program?
Incoming first-year students in Fall 2025 are eligible to receive eight (8) consecutive semesters (4 years) of tuition or until they’ve earned their bachelor’s degree (whichever comes first).
Are student-athletes eligible?
No. Division I and II student-athletes may not be eligible for the Launch Program.
Are study abroad programs included?
No. The Launch Program funds are only to be used for Augustana tuition. Students choosing to study abroad or away from campus will have financial aid awarded consistent with how all students are awarded aid in off campus programs.
Students are required to live on campus. What happens if they choose not to?
Students choosing to live off campus or at home will receive a prorated amount of Augustana scholarship(s) and grant(s) consistent with our financial aid policies.
Does the Launch Program apply to current Augustana students?
No. The Launch Program applies to first-year students who are new to Augustana in Fall 2025.
What if a student does not qualify? Are there still scholarships available to them?
Yes. Augustana offers scholarships based on academic merit, talent and financial need.
