The Augustana University Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program prepares students to apply for a physical therapy license and certification. The National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) is administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT). Licensure requires graduation from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program. Graduation from the program does not guarantee licensure and/or certification. The AU CAPTE-accredited DPT program qualifies students to take the NPTE and apply for licensure in all states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
