In late March, Dr. Joel Johnson, Sanford Health Peter Schotten Distinguished Professor of Government & International Affairs and Augustana University’s soon-to-be interim provost, was one of only a few Americans asked to serve as a panelist at a Humboldt-Kolleg workshop at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.

Augustana is proud to announce that Stephanie Herseth Sandlin will serve a second term as president of the university. Herseth Sandlin will officially begin serving her second 6-year term on Aug. 1.

Generously supported by Rosemarie and Dean Buntrock and in partnership with the Center for Western Studies (CWS), Augustana University is excited to announce the establishment of the Critical Inquiry & Citizenship Colloquium with Dr. Michael Sandel, the Anne T. and Robert M. Bass Professor of Government at Harvard University, as the inaugural featured speaker.

Augustana understands the value and impact that military members have on communities all over the world — recognizing that this university would not be the place it is without these students, faculty and staff. In honor of Military Appreciation Month, observed in the U.S. and dedicated to people who are currently in the military or have resigned from duty, Augustana is featuring Matthew Erickson.
