Augustana has announced that 385 students will participate in the commencement ceremony honoring the class of 2013, set for 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, at the Elmen Center, located on campus at 2505 S. Grange Ave. Doors open at 1 p.m.

Senior Earns Top Honor in French
Senior Kelly Silvers (Chaska, Minn.) has received the 2013 AATF Outstanding Senior in French Award from the American Association of Teachers of French (AATF), an honor recognizing a graduating senior who has demonstrated excellence in the study of French as well as exceptional commitment to the French language and the many cultures where it is spoken.

19 Students Join Mathematics Honor Society
Earlier this month,19 Augustana students and five current and former faculty members formed the inaugural class of the South Dakota Delta chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon, the National Mathematics Honorary Society.

The inaugural Jeans and Jewels Celebrity Party will feature Hall of Fame coach Lute Olson and the Twin Cities' number-one show band Belladiva and will be held on Thursday, May 23, at CJ Callaway's Event Center.
