The cost of books varies by academic program. Students should budget approximately $800 to $1,000 per year.

The Department of Education allows students to receive aid and loans beyond their direct costs up to the maximum estimated cost of attendance. The maximum cost of attendance for the 2017-18 academic year at Augustana University includes $1000 for books, $2,150 for travel, $2,268 for personal & miscellaneous expenses and $72 for loan fees for a total Cost of Attendance of $45,458.

The University's scholarship and grant programs are designed to assist students with direct educational costs for tuition, University housing and the University unlimited meal plan. Students choosing to opt out of University housing and/or the University unlimited meal plan will receive a 10 percent reduction for each of their Augustana gift award (scholarships and/or grants). Federal financial aid sources will not be reduced.
