Teen Town

Augustana students volunteering at Teen Town 2015

Teen Town allows parents of teenagers (13-18) to choose a gift for their teen after choosing gifts for their younger children at the Salvation Army's Toy Town. While Toy Town provides gifts for children up to age 12 as well as food for the family, there was still a need with the teens, so the Holiday Clearing House created Teen Town in early 2000. Serving and Learning Together (SALT) at Augustana University was honored to begin the coordination of Teen Town in 2012.

In the 2014 holiday season, 640 teens were provided gifts through Teen Town. In 2015, 500 teens were served.
