40th Annual Artists of the Plains Art Show & Sale

Sharon Welch speaks with visitors at the 2019 Artists of the Plains Art Show & Sale.

This has been a difficult year with many events having to be canceled or postponed, including our annual Boe Forum and Dakota Conference. Even so, we continued to cling to the hope that the spread of Covid-19 would slow down, and our Artists of the Plains Art Show & Sale, scheduled to celebrate its 40th anniversary this fall, would be the bright spot at the end of this long nightmare.

Unfortunately, as we watch the case numbers climb in our region, we've determined that the risk is just too great to proceed with the event at this time. The health and safety of our artist friends, our loyal patrons, our tireless volunteers, and our dedicated staff has always been our paramount priority.

The 40th anniversary event has been postponed until 2021. New dates will be announced once a decision has been made. We will start the artist selection process over again next year and move forward when we know we can provide a safe environment for everyone.

We may not be holding the show this year, but you can still support the artists chosen to participate:
