Augustana’s Eide/Dalrymple Gallery Features Photography of Artist’s Journey Through Infertility Treatments
The Eide/Dalrymple Gallery at Augustana University opens “Rachel Cox: Exercises for Control: Part I (an end and a beginning),” which will be on view from Friday, Oct. 6, through Wednesday, Nov. 8. A gallery reception will take place on Friday, Oct. 13, from 5-7 p.m., with an artist talk at 6 p.m. Rachel Cox has created a body of work that examines the personal and cultural stigmas associated with female infertility and assisted reproductive technologies (ART).

The world-renowned philosopher and author will give a keynote presentation to the AU community at 7 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 26, in the Elmen Center to kick off the 2-day colloquium, with a book signing following the event.

Augustana University students JayVian Farr ‘24 and Sam Skarstad ‘24 were crowned the 2023 Viking Days Royals at coronation on Wednesday, Sept. 20, in the Elmen Center. The coronation took place in front of a crowd of students, faculty and staff following the Viking Feast on the third day of AU's homecoming.
AU’s Writer-in-Residence Dr. Patrick Hicks Releases Latest Novel 'Across the Lake'
The university is proud to announce the release of Augustana Writer-in-Residence and Professor of English Dr. Patrick Hicks’ novel entitled, Across the Lake, published by SFA Press and distributed by Texas A & M University Press. The launch of the book is set to take place at the 21st annual South Dakota Festival of Books in Deadwood, South Dakota, on Sept. 22-24.
