Biography
Paige Thompson, CSW-PIP, LICSW, QMHP is an assistant professor with the Augustana-Sanford Genetic Counseling Program (ASGCGP) in Sioux Falls. She graduated from Augustana University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in government & international affairs with a minor in religion. She earned a Master of Social Work from the University of South Dakota. Thompson has more than 12 years of experience in the mental health field. She owns her own private practice and sees clients individually. She is also a QMHP for the Board of Mental Illness and responds to patients with high acuity in local hospitals and jails. As a prior school social worker and mental health consultant, Thompson has long valued teaching and is passionate about teaching the practices of effective counseling techniques and communication strategies to students within the genetic counseling program at Augustana University.
