Summer Housing

• $650 per session

Augustana provides students with air-conditioned housing within a designated residence hall. *Students will live in Solberg Hall during Summer 2026. Rooms include a bed, mattress, desk, desk chair, dresser, wardrobe, MicroChill unit and individual climate control. Community bathrooms and lounge spaces are located on each floor in the residence hall.

*Students assigned to theme houses and apartments (with the exception of Foundation Heights) for Academic Year 2026-27 may request to live in their assigned space during Summer 2026, however, these assignments are subject to availability given maintenance or other needs. Students not assigned to a theme house or apartment for Academic Year 2026-27 are eligible for residence hall placement only.

Summer Dining hours begin on Monday, June 1. Summer residents will receive $300 dining dollars for each session they are on campus.

• Ordal Dining Hall | Monday-Friday, from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
• Starbucks | Monday-Friday, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
• The Market | Monday-Friday, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.
• Chick Fil-A | Closed for the summer; will reopen Aug. 24

• 2026 Summer Session I  | May 29 - June 27
• 2026 Summer Session II | July 5 - Aug. 1

Augustana does not accommodate any early arrivals before the Summer Session I check-in date or late departures after the Summer Session II check-out date.

Students who are staying for both summer sessions are allowed to remain in their housing assignment for summer session break. Students who are living on campus in Spring 2026 are able to remain in their spring assignment until they check in to their summer assignment. Students who are living on campus in Fall 2026 are expected to move into their fall assignment Saturday, Aug. 1, at noon. Students who are not residing on campus for Fall 2026 must vacate and check out of their room by Saturday, Aug. 1, at noon.

Due to the accelerated nature of Augustana’s academic calendar and Office of Student Affairs obligations in May and August, early arrival and late departure requests will not be granted.

Summer storage is not offered.

Priority for summer housing is given to current Augustana University students engaged in academic or university-related employment experience. When space is available, AU is able to offer summer housing opportunities to students from other colleges and universities who are in Sioux Falls for summer internships at local businesses.
