  • The Augustana Magazine: Spring 2014

    Someone once said it’s impossible to think about tomorrow without reflecting on yesterday. As Augustana shares its plans for the future Froiland Science Complex, this issue of the magazine features individuals who have the wisdom to reflect on the past and the present. Among others, we’ll introduce you to Dr. Rayburn Skoglund '59, Dr. Gene Hoyme '72, and Bill Gross '73.

    Augustana students Russ Averin, Neal Gregerson, and Bethany Jochim are co-authors of a paper published in the January 14, 2010, issue of the Journal of Physics B: Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics.

  • Four Elected to Augustana Board of Trustees

    Delegates attending the Augustana Association’s annual meeting on December 4, elected four Augustana alums to serve on the College’s Board of Trustees. The board sets policy and manages the business and academic affairs of the College.

  • Director of Campus Safety Plays Part in SD Honor Flights

    Augustana Director of Campus Safety Rick Tupper serves as the Vice-Chairman for Honor Flight, which takes South Dakota's World War II veterans to see their memorial in Washington, D.C. After four completed flights, Honor Flight is looking ahead to more trips in 2010.

  • Augustana students co-author article in Physical Review A

    Four current Augustana students join two alums as co-authors of a paper published in the December 2009 issue of Physical Review A, a section of the Physical Review journal dedicated to atomic, molecular, and optical physics research.

  • Argus Leader: Dave Krauth Records 400th Career Win

    An 84-63 win over St. Cloud State Sunday night at the Sioux Falls Arena gave head women’s basketball coach Dave Krauth his 400th career win. Krauth has been a head coach at Augustana for 21 seasons and has a career record of 400-186.

  • Augustana Student Creates New Sioux Falls Transit Logo

    Sarah Karlstad, a sophomore art major from Mitchell, SD, designed the new logo unveiled today by Sioux Falls Transit (SFT). Earlier this year, SFT introduced new buses with an updated look and decided to update the name and logo as well.

  • KELO-TV: Music Professor Performs with SD Symphony Orchestra

    Dr. John Pennington, professor of music and percussionist with the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra, provided a performance Saturday on a rare American Gamelan instrument, one of only two being used anywhere in the world.

  • Alumnus earns award at Newport International Film Festival

    Andrew Kightlinger, Augustana '08, has won Best Original Screenplay at the Newport International Film Festival. Principal photography for the film begins in June in central South Dakota and in the Badlands.

  • Professors Featured in This Week's Edition of Inside Keloland

    The most recent Augustana Thought Leader Forum featured Dr. Peg Preston, Associate Professor of History, and Dr. Patrick Hicks, Associate Professor of English. After the forum, the duo continued their discussion on Inside Keloland.

  • Augustana Participating in International Education Week

    Augustana joins colleges and universities throughout the US in observing International Education Week (IEW) November 16-20. This year, more than 130 Augustana students will be traveling to 25 countries and seven continents.
