  • The Augustana Magazine: Spring 2014

    Someone once said it’s impossible to think about tomorrow without reflecting on yesterday. As Augustana shares its plans for the future Froiland Science Complex, this issue of the magazine features individuals who have the wisdom to reflect on the past and the present. Among others, we’ll introduce you to Dr. Rayburn Skoglund '59, Dr. Gene Hoyme '72, and Bill Gross '73.

  • Sioux Falls Senior Wins Covenant Award for Excellence

    Joe Coppock, a senior from Sioux Falls, is the recipient of the Augustana Covenant Award for Excellence. Coppock has pursued a double major—chemistry (ACS) and biology—and will graduate cum laude on May 24.
     

  • KSFY: Augustana Senior Art Show

    It's an event that features the 14 graduating seniors in the Augie art department. At the show, you will find everything from classic or traditional styles of work to more contemporary styles.

  • Moorhead Junior Elected President of the Augustana Congregation

    Beth Singleton has served on the Campus Ministry staff for the past three years as an ambassador and as a coordinator of Outreach Ministries.  As president, she will chair meetings of the Campus Ministry staff during the 2009-2010 academic year.

  • Donnelly and Puthoff Named FCA Honor Athletes

    Augustana senior student-athletes Jason Donnelly (Elk Point, SD) and Amy Puthoff (Hartford, SD) swept the college awards at the 38th annual Fellowship of Christian Athletes Honor Athlete Luncheon.

  • Sophomore Published in Physics Journal

    Bethany Jochim, a sophomore physics major from Pierre, SD, is the lead author of an article published in the Journal of Physics B: Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics, published by the Institute of Physics.

  • Andrea Krogstad Chosen to Attend Student Congress

    Andrea Krogstad, a junior from Baltic, SD, has been chosen to represent South Dakota at the second annual Student Congress June 20-27 in Lexington, KY, on the campuses of Transylvania and the University of Kentucky.

  • Augustana Senior Wins NSF Graduate Research Fellowship

    Augustana senior Dan Day (Vermillion, SD) has won a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. Day will study life sciences and computational biology at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

  • Omaha World Herald: 2003 Alumna Debuts New Musical

    Amanda Miller, class of 2003, is the playwright behind a new musical in Omaha.  A project Miller started back in 2004, "Fat Girlfriend, the Musical" opened Thursday, April 16 at the Shelterbelt Theatre.

  • Nursing Professor to Assist in Facilitating National Project

    Pamela Schroeder, assistant professor of Nursing at Augustana, has been invited to serve as a Quality and Safety Education for Nurses facilitator for phase III of the national QSEN project.
     

  • New Faculty Excellence Endowment Established

    The Carole Bland Cultivating Faculty Excellence Endowment has been created at Augustana to honor the life and work of Carole Bland, longtime Board of Trustee member, alumna and great friend of the College.
